This is book two in the Starkeeper duology. This book is definitely for you if you like the Fourth Wing and ACOTAR series. It has such an interesting premise with excellent world building and a plot rooted in a deep emotion. I was especially drawn to the complexity of the relationships and the high emotional stakes throughout the story.

Not to mention… DRAGONS!!!! 🐲

Roshan’s betrayal hit hard for me in the book, and while that kind of tension can make a story compelling, it was difficult at times watching Sura continue to trust the wrong people. I understand this was likely intentional to build emotional conflict, but it did make certain moments feel more frustrating than satisfying.

That said, I really appreciated the depth of the relationships and the fact that complicated problems didn’t have easy resolutions. The stakes felt real, and the emotional weight of the story kept me engaged.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and found it to be an engaging, character-driven fantasy, even if parts of it were occasionally frustrating in execution.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
