✨ Premise / What It Is
As the author states in the Introduction, hobbies do more than just help you pass the time. This book provided not only chapters of hobby ideas, but gave insight into how hobbies could serve different needs and bring more joy and balance into a person’s life. Reading Cozy Hobbies made me want to light a candle, abandon my phone, and become the kind of person who has a sourdough starter. It gave me inspiration to try some new hobbies that I had never even considered before. I picked this up expecting cute hobby ideas and ended up with a surprisingly comforting reading experience.
Apparently my newest personality trait is wanting to try every hobby in this book.
⭐ My Current Favorites
I am no stranger to cozy hobbies. Here are my current favorites:
Reading and Journaling: Besides being an avid reader (obviously), I’m also a bullet journal keeper— one who keeps a creative reading journal filled with stickers and other fun bits and bobs.
Crocheting: I also enjoy to crochet adorable pop culture characters and animals, for the finger dexterity of course.
Playing Sports: And I play indoor and beach volleyball, which I never really considered a hobby before reading this book. I also love playing pickleball.
Here are some hobbies I want to try:
Gem and Diamond Painting: I recently bought a diamond painting kit but have yet to try it. The possibilities feel endless, and I can’t wait to completely bedazzle a future book project.
Building sets: I have a number of Legos and other building sets that have my name on them. All I need is a clear surface and the time and focus to put the pieces together.

A beautifully curated, treasure trove of hobbies, Cozy Hobbies is part inspiration guide, part comfort read, and the kind of book that reminds you that joy doesn’t have to be productive.
