At the end of July, Youtube makeup guru Patrick Starr launched his own beauty brand at Sephora. Patrick Starrr says “Makeup is a one size fits all” and I 100% agree with him and that concept. As soon as the collection came out, I ordered the whole collection to try it all out. Click here to see what I purchased.
Also, I was lucky to attend the One/Size x Sephora Masterclass! That’s right, I said masterclass. 2020 has been a hard year with the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting shutdowns and the cancellations of conventions and masterclasses. Luckily, we’ve started to work around COVID-19, and that means virtual masterclasses! So, I attended the One/Size x Sephora Masterclass and am very happy to share my experience with you!

First, let’s talk about the box. I received in the mail a One/Size box filled with awesome swag!

Here’s what I got:

Next I attended a one hour masterclass with Patrick Starrr (@patrickstarrr) and Patrick’s friend and makeup artist Roni Herrera (@muaroni).

For Patrick’s gorgeous smokey eye, Roni used the Patrick Starrr Visionary Eyeshadow Palette ($42.00) and used the following eyeshadows:

“Mango” all over the eye as a base.
“Booked” in the crease and to blend any harsh lines.
“Soft Served” in the outer part of the crease.
“Manilla Sand” on the eyelid.
“Busty Brown” and “Bodacious Black” Point Made 24-Hour Gel Eyeliner Pencil to smoke out that eye.
“Brownie” to set the eyeliner.
“Suede Charm” to smoke out the bottom lash line to provide “smokey support”
“Turban Legend” to blow out the wing.

And “Everything and More” (the top shade) Eye Popper Sparkle Vision Liquid Eyeshadow ($22.00) on the eyelid.
A few tips from makeup artist Roni and Patrick Starrr.
- Add your contrasting color all the way to the inner eye to make the eyelid pop and to give your smokey eye more definition (especially if you have hooded eyes).
- Use setting power under the eye to catch eyeshadow fallout.
- Smoke out the bottom lash line and blow it out to make the eye look bigger and to provide balance to the smokey eye.
- Patrick’s “Busty Brown” and “Bodacious Black” Point Made 24-Hour Gel Eyeliner Pencil is long lasting and even great for people who have oily skin. Patrick says “you can wear it until the quarantine is over and it will not move.”
- Use your eye popper liquid eyeshadows after eyeliner to prevent clumping up. press it down with your finger to “activate the popper” and make it shine like a diamond.
- When using a liquid eyeliner, Patrick Starrr said he’s not a “swoop there is is” kind of person. Instead he’s a “stamp there is is girl.” Patrick Starr recommends stamping the eyeliner little by little for the best control.
- While Patrick Starr called his dissolving mist a “stubborn child I had to whip into shape” but talked about how important this product was for him. He said it is “so important to have a beautiful canvas for your makeup and that starts with taking off your makeup the night before.”

How beautiful is this look??
So far, Patrick’s line is off to a great start. Click here to see what I purchased. Patrick Starrr told us at the masterclass that there’s more to come. He says the future of One/Size will have more classes, events, makeovers, more products, more love, and more social interactions. I for one am so excited to see what comes next!
Patrick Starr also said he looks at makeup like a wardrobe. I think this is a unique and inspiring way of looking at makeup. And of course, “Makeup is a One Size Fits All,” Patrick Starrr says. I agree! So keep on playing with your wardrobe!
