I came for the high-speed racing drama but stayed for the chaotic opposites-attract romance. 🏎️

💜 The Premise

This is a blogger x F1 driver romance where two total opposites somehow make it work. Sage is chaotic and impulsive, while Alexander is controlled and polished. Their dynamic really leans into that contrast.

The setup was interesting (him becoming her personal assistant to avoid a defamation lawsuit definitely hooked me), and I liked how their personalities played off each other. She brings the chaos, and he’s trying to manage it. Sage makes Alexander let down his hair; Alexander grounds Sage through chaos and makes her think before she acts.

⏱️ Pacing & Progression

Sage also deals with layers of family drama and emergencies that add emotional depth.

That said, I think I wanted more insight and immersion into Sage’s world as an athlete. The racing, training, and overall life of an F1 driver felt more secondary to the romance, and I was hoping for a better balance between the two. The athlete and racing elements felt a little like a throw away.

I listened to the ALC and really enjoyed the dual narration. It added a lot to the experience.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I liked this book and enjoyed the fun banter and development of the characters. I recommend this book if you enjoy opposites-attract romances with a bit of chaos and some medium-level spice.
